My Leap into creative writing

I’m a published poet-essayist-columnist now!
Mostly poetry. Mostly on the Internet. Some essays, short stories, and most recently, a special magazine column. Again, mostly on the Internet. And, it’s all been well received by many, including other poets and writers worldwide. I am a published poet-essayist-columnist, a leap into creative writing, far different from by background and work as a news reporter.

The first printing is complete of my first poetry chapbook, Beginner’s Luck, which I self-published. If you want a copy call, or email me at johnrevanetski@atlanticbb.net and I’ll be happy to send it to you. My second chapbook should be done in early 2007.

The poems and essays I have written, so far, would not have been possible without the help of my friend Cassandra Robison. Sandi provided information, advice, insight, and critique for my work. She has also provided a primary outlet for publishing some of my works in the online literary magazine. Sandi is editor, publisher and founder of www.artistryoflife.org

More than that, she encouraged and inspired me to keep going. For all that, and especially for her friendship, I am very grateful. I feel blessed. Sandi teaches English, American Literature and Creative Writing at a Central Florida Community College in Ocala. An educator for the past 20 years, she is currently working on her doctorate.
